This square is from everytrickonthehook.com and is named Simbelmyne. I am loving this site. Polly focuses on squares and afghans. My project list just got longer because she has a CAL coming with textured squares that look beautiful. I can see them in all natural shades of super wash wool from Cascade.
This square is a beautiful open work center of a flower with a simple border to make it square. You are going to be so excited when you get to the pattern page. She has a picture of each row and what the pattern repeat should look like with notes right on the picture to help you if you get stuck.

These are my notes if you want to make a solid square (they are the same as the pattern but I have figured out what you need to do so you don’t have to move your yarn or slip stitch to the next starting point):
- Rd 9: ch 4, dc same st as join, ch 1, skip 3 dc, V next sc, ch 2, sk 4 dc, (sc, ch 2, sc) > pick up instructions in corner
- Rd 10: 2 hdc in ch 1 sp, 2 hdc in next ch 1 sp, 3 hdc in ch sp of V, 3 hdc in ch 2, sk sc > pick up instruction in corner
- Rd 11: sc to corner, (sc, ch 2, sc) > pick up instructions
- Rd 12 & 13 same as Rd 11
