I am so stinking excited! I have been designing things for myself for a long time but I have never actually written out a pattern and published it! This is my very first one so be kind!
I have been making these little mats for a while and love them. I designed them because I wanted a way for Mermaid to have a snack without having to use a bowl. I only own 5 kid bowls and it seems they are always getting washed. The mats are the perfect size for some cookies and a cup, a handful of crackers, a sandwich, you get the idea. Hubby decided he likes them for his late night snacks, and I like them for my morning bagel. Honestly any time I can use one and just toss it in the laundry basket instead of washing a plate I go for it.
Who would like this pattern? A beginner who is ready to tackle a simple cluster and side edging. It is also an easy project for an experienced crocheter who wants a quick gift to work on while binging on Netflix. Anyone who likes to save time doing dishes and save money by not using paper towels.
Right now this is just here on the blog. When I figure out how to get it up there I am going to make it a free Ravelry Download. If you make a set please let me know! I really want to see how they turn out – tag them with #BlinkingCatBlog so I can find them.
Go grab your favorite cotton yarn and get hooking!
